The College is committed to pursuing academic excellence and the fostering of individual abilities in a caring and difficult educational environment. As Arabic and Religious Studies form an integral portion of our school curriculum, excess teaching staff for Arabic and Religion are employed for this purpose. At Al Amanah College we aim to yield students with the foundations for the coming including values, education and skills that will enable them to be confident and excellent Australian citizens. Al Amanah College enjoys the benefits of specialized learning facilities including many that have been newly built or renovated. Recent projects include the refurbishment of science laboratories, music room, graphics room and food technology rooms, the installation of back to base new fire alarm system, the completion of the installation of a state of the art alarm system and CCTV cameras in 2009 and the completion of the installation of IWBs in all General learning classrooms in 2012. There are Year Advisers for each year, supporting the welfare needs of students. The school is well equipped with facilities including a hall, a fresh playground, library, graphics room, two computer rooms, kiln, arts room, music room, science laboratory, design and technology workshop, food technology room, screening room, senior study, canteen, uniform shop. Some of the major tools use are drop saw, table saw, band saw and stand drill. Students are highly encourages to use hand tools such as handsaw, jigsaw, planer, chisel etc. These classes prepare the students for feasible life skills. Graphics room is one of the State of the Art facilities provided by Al Amanah College to facilitate quality teaching and learning. The environment is highly conducive to teaching and learning. Students using the classroom have a sense of belonging and ownership and have been looking behind the facilities available. The facilities also include set squares, T Squares and Drawing clips which students use to consistently produce lofty standard of work. As a result of these soft wares our students have been capable to yield some outstanding work over the years. The clever arts department also boasts a healthy resourced collection of art making materials and equipment. Al Amanah College strives to educate students in all facets of the Original Arts including an extensive contemporary and historical Art curriculum which is delivered using a collection of texts, images and interactive whiteboard software for students to maximize understanding and enjoyment of the units studied. An ESL room which is set up into two areas to facilitate two lessons at the one time. Resources for all KIA’s for Primary and Tall school. We have a guided reading wall with readers from rugby and Scholastic. We also have resources for Arabic and Religious studies. There are also abundant reference books as healthy as instruction books on how to play these instruments.

The college was first established at Banks town, where classes commenced with 88 students KYr3 in 1998 and from there the school grew rapidly. The school is multicultural, with almost 100 of students from language backgrounds other than English, predominately Arabic. As Arabic and Religious Studies form an integral part of our school curriculum, excess teaching staff for Arabic and Religion are employed for this purpose. Parents and the local community are encouraged to promote the school through participation in school programs and ongoing provision of surplus school resources. Al Amanah College is considered to be a major institution catering for the cultural needs of the Muslim community and a school that offers a diverse bilingual teaching curriculum. For this reason the college has become an attraction to parents who see in it a intelligent and distinguished future for their children.
