We yield therapy services for children, young people and adults with a disability, as well as behavior promote plans for families, carers and other service providers. Our community centers are safe, gracious places for you to confront new people, thrive fresh skills and take sociable encourage and referral. At The Junction Works, we are supporting people with a disability to transition to this Scheme. Our services range across disability and therapeutic supports for children and adults, programs for young people in firm transition periods, and community services that bear referral services and opportunities for social connectivity and inclusion. There are many volunteering opportunities available within The Junction Works including running activities at one of our community centers, helping out in one of our community gardens, supporting behind school and holiday programs, providing language and translation services, and administration support. Due to the nature of our work with young people and people with a disability, we require volunteers in positive roles to pass a Police Check and Busy with Children Check. The Junction Works can assist your organization to tailor volunteering activities that confront your needs, as well as the needs of our service recipients. Opportunities include providing professional services fund raising garden makeovers at one of our service centers helping young adults with disabilities appreciate our annual SPARK Clever Arts Festival and providing work experience opportunities for some of our disability clients who are busy towards employment. We urge staff to manage these dual roles by offering: We are committed to ensuring that students on placement have a definite experience and undertake work which provides them with pertinent training and experience for their coming professional life. At The Junction Works we prosper programs and activities around people's interests, needs and abilities. The Junction Works’ Respite and Recreation Service provides planned, concise term, time limited breaks from ordinary caring relationships for families and unpaid carers of children, young people and adults with a disability. Our service also provides behind school and holiday programs, community capacity building activities and an outreach program including community BBQ. Wattle Grove Community center provides a range of support, information and referral services, holiday programs for the kids, play groups for young parents, volunteering opportunities and social and ability development activities for all ages. Chris has worked in the community and disability sectors for more than 30 years, commencing as a social worker, supporting young people and families in crisis.
